INNOPUR SHIELD PU 300-1K

It is a single-component, low-viscosity polyurethane-based liquid waterproofing and protection material. In addition to being easy to apply, it is an economical system. It cures with moisture in the air and strongly adheres to almost all types of surfaces, forming a highly elastic film. Its content is based on pure elastomeric hydrophobic polyurethane resin and special inorganic fillers, giving the material excellent resistance to UV and other natural factors, as well as chemical, mechanical, and thermal aspects. It is applied in two coats by brush, roller, or airless spray machine. Minimum total consumption is 1.2-1.5 kg/m².

LIMITATIONS
• Not recommended for unsound substrates.
• Not to be used for waterproofing swimming pools in direct contact with chemically treated water.

FEATURES and ADVANTAGES
• Although thinning is not required, SOLVENT can be used depending on conditions.
• Excellent weather and UV resistance. White color reflects a large portion of solar energy, significantly reducing the internal temperature of the building.
• Thermal resistance is excellent; the product never softens. Maximum service temperature is 80 °C, maximum shock temperature is 200 °C.
• Cold resistant: The film retains its elasticity down to -40 °C.
• Excellent mechanical properties.
• Exhibits effective resistance against chemicals.
• Non-toxic after curing.
• Effective in water vapor transmission: Since the film breathes, no moisture accumulation occurs under the coat.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Substrates for successful application: Concrete, fiber cement, mosaic, cement-based roof tiles, old but well-adhered acrylic and asphalt coatings, wood, corroded metal, and galvanized steel surfaces. For other substrates, please contact our technical department.

SURFACE PREPARATION
If possible, the surface should be cleaned using a high-pressure washer; oil, grease, fuel, and paraffin residues must be removed. It should also be completely cleared of mold release agents, cement residues, shavings, loose particles, and cured membranes. Surface defects and cracks should be repaired by filling with appropriate products.

Priming
Use the suitable material recommended in the primer selection list.

Mixing
Use a low-speed electric mixer (300 rpm). Optionally, it can be thinned with 5-10% SOLVENT. Thin with 10% SOLVENT for airless spray application.

Application
Apply the material in at least two coats using a roller or brush. Wait 6-24 hours between coats.

CLEANING
Clean tools and equipment first with paper towels, then wipe with SOLVENT. Do not attempt to clean rollers; they cannot be reused.

CONSUMPTION
First coat: 0.6-0.8 kg/m².
Second coat: 0.6-0.9 kg/m²

Minimum total consumption
1.2-1.5 kg/m².

PACKAGING
15 kg, 25 kg, and 200 kg drums.

SHELF LIFE
Can be stored for a minimum of 12 months in unopened original buckets in dry environments at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C. Material in opened buckets should be used as soon as possible.
