INNOPUR SHIELD PU 600-1K

DESCRIPTION
Single-component, low-viscosity polyurethane-based liquid waterproofing and protection material. Cures with atmospheric moisture to form a highly elastic and durable film with strong adhesion to almost all surfaces. Low solvent (xylene) content requires no dilution. Formulated with pure elastomeric hydrophobic polyurethane resin and special inorganic fillers providing excellent chemical, mechanical, thermal, and UV resistance. Applied in two coats by brush, roller, or airless spray.

Minimum total consumption
1.5-1.8 kg/m2.

LIMITATIONS
• Not recommended for unsound or friable substrates.
• Not suitable for waterproofing swimming pools in direct contact with chemically treated water.

FEATURES and ADVANTAGES
• Excellent adhesion to almost all types of surfaces, with or without a primer.
• Requires no dilution.
• Excellent weather and UV resistance. White color reflects a large portion of solar energy, significantly reducing internal building temperature.
• Excellent thermal resistance; the product never softens. Maximum service temperature is 80 °C, maximum shock temperature is 200 °C.
• Cold resistance: The film retains elasticity down to -40 °C.
• Excellent mechanical properties: High tensile, tear, and abrasion resistance.
• Effective chemical resistance.
• Non-toxic after full cure.
• Effective water vapor permeability: The film breathes, preventing moisture accumulation under the layer.
• Specialized primers available suitable for almost any type of substrate.

Suitable Substrates
Concrete, fibrous cement, terrazzo, cement-based roof tiles, old but well-adhered acrylic and asphalt coatings, wood, corroded metal, and galvanized steel surfaces. For other substrates, please contact our technical service.

APPLICATION DETAILS

SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface should be cleaned preferably using a high-pressure washer; oil, grease, fuel, and paraffin residues must be removed. It must also be completely free of mold release agents, cement residues, shavings, loose particles, and cured membranes. Surface defects and cracks should be repaired with appropriate products.

Priming
Use the appropriate material recommended in the primer selection guide.

Mixing
Mix with a low-speed electric mixer (300 rpm) for 2-3 minutes.

Application
Apply at least two coats using a roller, brush, or airless spray machine. The time between coats should not exceed 48 hours.

CLEANING
Clean tools and equipment first with paper towels, then wipe with SOLVENT. Do not attempt to clean rollers; they cannot be reused.

CONSUMPTION
First coat: 0.8-0.9 kg/m2.
Second coat: 0.7-0.9 kg/m2.
Airless spray application: 0.8 kg/m2 per coat.

Minimum total consumption
1.5-1.8 kg/m2.

PACKAGING
15 kg, 25 kg, and 200 kg

SHELF LIFE
Can be stored for a minimum of 12 months in unopened original pails in dry conditions between 5°C and 25°C. Material in opened pails should be used as quickly as possible.

NOTE
Like all polyurethane materials, the viscosity of the product is sensitive to temperature variations. Viscosity measurements were performed at 25 °C according to ASTM D2196-86 standards. Viscosity increases inversely with temperature.
