INNOPUR PRIMER PU UNIVERSAL-2K
INNOPUR PRIMER PU UNIVERSAL-2K
DESCRIPTION
Two-component, solvent-free primer. Developed for polyurethane-based products. Fast curing and non-toxic (zero VOC/Volatile Organic Compounds). INNOPUR PRIMER PU UNIVERSAL-2K is specially designed to ensure excellent adhesion of polyurethane-based products on damp or wet concrete surfaces.
USES
• Damp, humid concrete
• Wet or moist concrete
• Environments with poor ventilation
• Asphalt and asphalt membranes
• Water tanks made of concrete, steel, or other materials
ADVANTAGES
• Excellent adhesion to almost all types of surfaces.
• Since it is solvent-free, it can be easily applied in unventilated environments.
• High hydrophobic and hydrolysis resistance.
• Performs across a wide temperature range. Cures even at low temperatures and under water films.
• Exhibits effective resistance against chemicals.
• Can be used to fill and bond geotextiles.
Surface Preparation
The surface should be cleaned using high-pressure water if possible; oil, grease, fuel, and paraffin residues must be removed, and it must be completely freed from form release agents, cement residues, sawdust, loose particles, and cured membranes. Surface defects and cracks should be repaired by filling with appropriate products. Fill surface defects by thickening the product with sand.
Preparation of the Mixture
It is a two-component product and considering the pot life, the required amount should be prepared according to the specified mixing ratio. To achieve a homogeneous mixture, care should be taken that the product temperature is not less than 15°C. Mix components A and B with a low-speed mixer (300 rpm) for at least 3 minutes until homogeneous. Pay attention to consume the prepared mixture within its pot life. In open-air environments, to reduce consumption and extend pot life, you may dilute the material in an open area with polyurethane thinner. Never dilute the product when priming wet surfaces or water films. In hot environments, pour the product into a shallow, wide container to extend pot life.
Application
Use a roller or brush. Apply the main coats after curing.
CONSUMPTION
Depending on surface porosity: between 100 g/m² and 500 g/m².
POT LIFE
The pot life of the two mixed components is 30 minutes at 20°C. To extend pot life: Keep the container with the mixture in a cool place, away from sunlight. Pour the mixed product onto the floor first to loosen it, then spread. Pour the mixed product into a separate, shallow, wide container.
PACKAGING INFORMATION
15 kg (comp. A: 9 kg, comp. B: 6 kg).
7.5 kg (comp. A: 4.5 kg, comp. B: 3 kg).
STORAGE INFORMATION
Material should be stored in a cool and dry place. When stored properly in its unopened original packaging, the shelf life is 1 year for components A and B.
HEALTH/SAFETY INFORMATION
Comply with the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) prepared in accordance with EU directives regarding the product. Although it contains no volatile substances, creating suitable ventilation conditions in enclosed spaces is strongly recommended. Additionally, methane gas leaking from the ground may accumulate in tanks. This possibility should always be considered and precautions taken. Request the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) from your vendor.
