INNOPUR SPORT PU ADHESIVE MULTI-2K
INNOPUR SPORT PU ADHESIVE MULTI-2K
DESCRIPTION
INNOPUR SPORT PU MULTI ADHESIVE is a two-component, polyurethane-based multipurpose special flooring adhesive. Cures at room temperature.
APPLICATION AREAS
✓ For bonding latex, polyurethane, and rubber-backed carpets,
✓ For bonding rubber floor coverings to concrete, metal, and asphalt in indoor and outdoor areas,
✓ For bonding prefabricated lightweight walls made using polyurethane, wooden boards, cork, and metallic foils,
✓ For bonding sandwich panels made of ferrous and non-ferrous metals to wood; bonding tiles and acoustic insulation cork or SBR panels in wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens in buildings.
ADVANTAGES
✓ Easily applied with a notched trowel
✓ Resistant to moisture and weather conditions
✓ Cures rapidly. Surfaces become suitable for pedestrian traffic in a short time
APPLICATION
Surface Preparation: Surface must be dry and clean. Free from oil, wax, grease, water repellents, dust, and loose particles. Maximum moisture content should be 8%.
New Concrete
Concrete must be at least 28 days old and free of surface curing compounds.
Old Concrete
Surface must be free of easily detachable particles, sanding, and dusting.
Metal
Surface must be clean.
Priming
Concrete, asphalt, and metal surfaces are primed with our single- or dual-component PU-based primer. Application can be done with a brush or roller. Primer consumption is 150-400 g/m² depending on surface smoothness, strength, and absorbency. Wait for a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 12 hours after priming before applying the adhesive to the surface.
Mixing
A mechanical mixer running at 100-200 rpm is used for mixing. Utmost care should be taken to prevent air entrainment into the adhesive during mixing. Pour all of Component B (Hardener) into Component A. Mixing time should be at least 5 minutes. Scraping the side walls and bottom of the container with a spatula may be required to ensure a homogeneous mix. Homogeneous mixing of the two components is critical for adhesive performance. A uniform color is a good indicator of adequate mixing.
Pot Life of Mixture
When Component A and B of INNOPUR SPORT PU MULTI ADHESIVE are mixed, the reaction is exothermic (heat-releasing), so it warms up. Especially on hot days, when mixing a full package of INNOPUR SPORT PU ADHESIVE, it is recommended to pour the entire mixture onto the floor and spread it immediately. Depending on ambient temperature, the mixture must be used within 45-60 minutes. Lower temperatures extend the pot life, while higher temperatures reduce it.
APPLICATION TOOLS and APPLICATION
INNOPUR SPORT PU MULTI ADHESIVE is applied with a notched trowel. Trowel selection and consumption depend on the structure of the bonding surfaces. Consumption varies between 500-2000 g/m². Applying moving or static pressure onto bonded surfaces is important for adhesive performance. Under pressure, all target bonding surfaces come into contact with the adhesive, ensuring homogeneous transfer.
CLEANING
Excess adhesive and tool cleaning can be performed with thinner while the adhesive is wet. Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
SHELF LIFE
1 year for Components A and B in original unopened packaging at storage temperatures between 10-25 ºC. Protect Components A and B from direct sunlight and moisture.
