INNOPUR SHIELD PU 300-1K

DEFINITION
It is a one component, low viscosity polyurethane based liquid waterproofing and protection material. It is an economical system as well as easy to implement. It cures with moisture in the air and adheres strongly to almost any surface, forming a highly elastic film. Its content is based on pure elastomeric hydrophobic polyurethane resin and special inorganic fillers, which give the material excellent resistance to UV and other natural factors, as well as chemical, mechanical and thermal. It is applied in two coats by brush, roller or airless sprayer. Its minimum total consumption is 1.2-1.5 kg/m2.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION
• Gypsum and cement panels
• Tile/tile (under coating)
• Bathrooms
• Roofs
• Lightweight roofs made of metal or fiber cement
• Asphalt membranes

LIMITATIONS
• Not recommended for unstable substrates.
• It is not used for waterproofing swimming pools in contact with water whose surfaces are chemically treated.

FEATURES and ADVANTAGES
• Although it does not require thinning, SOLVENT can be used depending on the conditions.
• It has excellent weather and UV resistance. Since the white color reflects a large part of the solar energy, it significantly reduces the internal temperature of the building.
• Its thermal resistance is excellent, the product never softens. Maximum service temperature is 80 °C, maximum shock temperature is 200 °C.
• Resistant to cold: The film maintains its elasticity down to -40 °C.
• It has excellent mechanical properties.
• It exhibits effective resistance against chemicals.
• It does not contain toxic substances after curing.
• It is effective in water vapor permeability: Since the film breathes, moisture accumulation does not occur under the floor.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Types of surfaces where successful results can be obtained: Concrete, fiber cement, mosaic, cement-based roof tiles, old but well-adhered acrylic and asphalt coatings, wood, corroded metal and galvanized steel surfaces. For other substrates, please contact our technical department.

SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface should be cleaned using a high pressure washer if possible; Oil, grease, fuel and paraffin residues should be removed, as well as completely free from mold release agents, cement residues, chips, loose particles and cured membranes. Surface defects and cracks should be filled with suitable products and repaired.

Lining
Use the appropriate material recommended in the primer option list.

To mix up
Use an electric mixer running at low speed (300 rpm). Optionally, it can be thinned with 5-10% SOLVENT. Dilute 10% with SOLVENT in airless spray application.

Application
Apply the material in at least two coats with a roller or brush. Wait 6-24 hours between coats.

CLEANING
Clean tools and equipment first with a paper towel, then wipe with SOLVENT. Do not try to clean the rolls, they cannot be used a second time.

CONSUMPTION
First floor: 0.6-0.8 kg/m2.
Second floor: 0.6-0.9 kg/m2

Minimum total consumption
1.2-1.5 kg/m2.

PACKAGING
15 kg, 25 kg and 200 kg drums.

SHELF LIFE
It can be stored for a minimum of 12 months in unopened original buckets, in dry environments at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C. The material in the opened bucket should be used as soon as possible.
