INNOPUR SHIELD PU BITUMEN THIX-2K

DEFINITION
It is an ideal two-component, bitumen-enriched, thixotropic polyurethane-based filling material with high performance, developed for vertical joints. It adheres strongly to almost any surface, forming a highly elastic layer. Its resistance to chemicals and mechanical effects is excellent. Its content is based entirely on elastomeric hydrophobic polyurethane resin and supported by chemically polymerized pure bitumen. It has excellent resistance to different climatic and heat conditions. In addition to its effective waterproofing feature, it also shows very good resistance against chemicals and other destructive factors.

ADVANTAGES
• It cures fast.
• Thick coat can be applied, it does not form bubbles.
• Unmixed components other than the application amount can be stored for later use.
• It has excellent crack bridging properties due to its low modulus.
• It exhibits effective resistance against chemicals.
• Although it does not need to be thinned, it can be thinned with polyurethane thinner depending on the conditions.
• Its thermal resistance is excellent, the product never softens.
• Maximum usage temperature is 80°C, maximum shock temperature is 200°C.
• It is resistant to cold, the film maintains its elasticity down to -40 °C.
• It has excellent mechanical properties.
• Functions effectively as a water vapor barrier

APPLICATION

Environmental Conditions
The relative humidity of the air should be at most 80%, the application temperature (environment and surface) should be between +3°C and +35°C. It should not be rainy 24 hours before, during and 24 hours after the application in open areas. The ground temperature should be 3°C above the current dew (dew falling) temperature.

Surface types with successful results
Concrete, fiber cement, terrazzo, cementitious roof tiles, old but well-adhered acrylic and asphalt coatings, wood, corroded metal and galvanized steel surfaces. For other substrates, please contact our technical department.

SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface should be cleaned using pressurized water if possible; Oil, grease, fuel and paraffin waste should be removed, as well as completely free from mold release agents, cement residues, chips, loose particles and cured membranes.

To mix up
After mixing the two components in equal amounts by hand or with a mixer running at low speed (300 rpm), apply immediately with a trowel. The pot life of the mixture is 25-30 minutes at 20°C.

Application
Apply the material with a trowel.

Minimum total consumption
1.5-1.8 kg/m2.

PACKAGING
A : 5 KG , B : 5 KG + ( 0.7 kg thickening powder. )

STORAGE CONDITIONS
The material should be stored in a cool and dry place. The life of the material is 1 year for components A and B when stored properly and in its unopened original packaging.
