AQUA GUARD CEMENT SUPER-2K (FULLY ELASTIC)

DESCRIPTION
Polymer emulsion modified, cement-based, two-component, fully elastic waterproofing mortar

ADVANTAGES
• Safe use in wet areas, terraces, swimming pools, and water tanks.
• Allows application of covering materials such as ceramics over it.
• Suitable for contact with drinking water.
• Resistant to temperature variations due to its elastic structure.
• Easy and comfortable application.

APPLICATION AREA
Used as an under-tile waterproofing material in all structures, especially in wet areas such as balconies, bathrooms, toilets, and kitchens.

APPLICATION SURFACES
• Cement-based plasters and screeds,
• Fair-faced concrete,
• Consult us for all other application surfaces.

APPLICATION LIMITATIONS
• Not applicable on wood, chipboard, plywood, and metal surfaces.
• Not applicable against negative water pressure.
• Not applicable in drinking water tanks and open terraces without protective cover.
• Should not be left exposed in places subject to direct sunlight.

APPLICATION PROPERTIES
• Number of coats to apply: 2-3 coats.
• Pot life of the mortar: max. 3 hours.
• Waiting time between coats: min. 5 hours.
• Waiting time before tiling: min. 4 days.
• Mechanical strength gain time: 7 days.
• Time to become watertight: 7 days.
• Full drying time: min. 48 hours.

WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
• Only its own liquid component should be used for mixing, strictly do not add water.
• Foreign materials should absolutely not be added.
• In wet area applications, moving points and vertical/horizontal corners should be supported with aqua guard corner sealing tapes.
• Applied surfaces must be protected from direct sunlight, air drafts, and frost for 3 days. If necessary, the surface should be wetted and kept moist.
• A protective layer such as ceramics should be applied over surfaces subject to mechanical impacts.
• Tiling or covering applications should not be started before 3 days after application.
• All tools used after application should be washed with water before drying.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS
• Ambient temperature: between +5 °C and +30 °C.
• Avoid application in extremely humid and/or very hot weather.
• Do not apply on frozen, thawing surfaces, or surfaces at risk of rain or frost within 24 hours.

APPLICATION
• For each coat, 20 kg of powder component is slowly added to 10 kg of liquid component and mixed with a low-speed mixer for about 2-3 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.
• After resting the mixture for 2 minutes, it should be remixed before application.
• Apply to the entire surface in at least 2 coats using a brush or trowel. Application of each coat should be perpendicular to the previous one.
• Wait at least 6 hours between coats.

CONSUMPTION : 3-3.5 kg/m2 for 2 mm thickness
PACKAGING : Net 20 kg kraft bag and 10 kg plastic drum.
COLOR : Grey. APPLICATION TOOLS: Hand mixer, brush, trowel.

SHELF LIFE
1 year from the production date in moisture-free and dry environments. Packaging should be tightly closed when not in use. Liquid component must be protected from frost.
